The Anima Centre
The meeting point for sustainable development,
organisational culture & creative vitality.
Anima is creating a new space for the exploration of issues that go to the heart of the way people live and work, based around three elements: sustainable development, organisational culture and creative vitality.
Anima will explore the challenge facing organisations and institutions worldwide: how to build and maintain social legitimacy in a society that has more knowledge, is more questioning and more demanding than ever before in history.
Anima will become a source of knowledge and debate that explores corporate governance; organisational ethics; trust; citizenship and corporate responsibility; the rights and responsibilities of stakeholders; global interdependence; environmental and social sustainability; the use of information and communication technologies; lifelong learning; and intellectual capital.
Anima will interweave these themes with complementary exploration of the vitality available through creativity, intuition and the imagination. Anima will help participants learn how to develop these innate talents within their everyday working (and non-working) life.
The Anima Centre
The physical heart of the business will be The Anima Centre, a purpose-built residential campus. The location, design/architecture, facilities, services, programming and pricing will all create a new standard in a crowded market.
The Centre will reinforce Anima's own culture. It will provide a point of reference and calm reflection, both a retreat and a stepping-off point for new learning and shared experiences.
It will organise and promote its own programme of courses, debates and training - in many instances, in partnership with other entities. It will also be available for organisations that wish to run their own events.
The Centre will also be the base for The Anima Foundation, the not-for-profit entity that will deliver the 'melting pot' element of the Anima vision. This will include a library devoted to the three strands of Anima's work, providing an invaluable additional resource to guests and a facility for individual study and research.
The Anima Centre will mix modern architectural themes with traditional building styles. Its lifetime design, construction and operational impact will be carbon neutral. The site will be visually enlightening. It will be focused around one simple objective — to offer visitors the most comfortable and productive environment within which to work, learn and find inspiration.
The Anima Foundation
The Anima Foundation will stimulate and facilitate learning, discussion and debate around the core themes of the Anima vision: sustainable development, organisational culture, and creative vitality.
The Foundation will seek to initiate activities through high level meetings, lecture programmes and the publication of position papers. We will link with an informal network of leading consultants to co-deliver on services.
Our unique opportunity will lie in the scope and breadth of the Anima Foundation's work, encouraging a different dynamic in the way people consider and respond to issues. The scope will be broad, in order to allow people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and nationalities to share experiences and enjoy the opportunity of gaining unique insights and lasting benefits.
The Anima Foundation will appoint a visiting faculty of global doers and thinkers, able to contribute to Anima events. The faculty will include academics, business leaders, artists and spiritual guides. They will share a commitment to the power of creativity, the value of imagination and compassion, the capability of the human spirit. They will share a belief in the value of common-sense and care passionately about helping others fulfil their potential.
